At Fairfields, the Wider Curriculum and its potential to provide further learning opportunities is an important part of our school ethos. We try to provide our pupils with opportunities to practice skills learnt in class by providing them with a wide variety of outdoor learning experiences. These include day trips, residentials and trips within the local community e.g. places of worship, shops, parks.
We also endeavour to provide a variety of enrichment opportunities by inviting visitors into school such as emergency services, story tellers, musicians, coaches, touring theatre companies etc.

A visit from HRH Sophie, Countess of Wessex
HRH The Countess of Wessex visited the school in 2018 to celebrate our 80th Anniversary.
We employ local artists, dancers and musicians to work with our pupils to develop the arts within our school.
