Fairfields School is a community day special school for pupils aged 3 to 11 years. The school meets the needs of pupils who have significant, severe or profound learning difficulties and sensory impairments. Some of our children may have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. The school is situated in a large well-maintained grounds close to the centre of Northampton. Work with us and you will be part of an ambitious team who want to make a real difference.
We are looking for a lunchtime supervisor to join our staff team. We need a friendly, caring person to support our pupils during the mid-day break. Working hours are 11.30am - 1.30pm.
We would like someone who is:
- flexible
- approachable
- enjoys being with children
- able to work as part of a team as well as using their own initiative
- willing to provide the necessary level of support that out pupils need to be as independent as possible during lunchtime.
Our children would really like someone who:
- Has a sense a fun
- Knows how to play
- Supports them when things get tough
- Helps them to be as independent as possible
- Is a good communicator
