Fairfields is a primary special school taking children between the ages of 3 and 11 with severe or profound learning difficulties, communication and physical difficulties. We also cater for pupils on the autistic spectrum. Some children may also have multi-sensory impairment and complex medical difficulties.
The school is situated in large well maintained grounds close to the centre of Northampton. Its catchment area covers Northampton and the South and West of the County. The school is close to Northampton General Hospital.
It was the best decision we ever made to send our child to Fairfields
Admission Criteria and Arrangements
All admissions are determined by the Local Authority in accordance with the ‘SEN and Disability Code of Practice’, July 2014, if the pupil has an EHC plan or in accordance with the ‘SEN Code of Practice’, November 2011, if the pupil has a statement of SEN.
Before the Local Authority makes a decision about placement they consult with the school in accordance with these documents.

We are proud to be a member of Challenge Partners. Challenge Partners is a practitioner-led charity that enables collaboration between schools to enhance the life chances of all children. This enables us to join networks and programmes that facilitate sustainable collaboration and challenge between schools in order to underpin improvements in educational outcomes which would not be possible for a school, or group of schools, to achieve as effectively or efficiently on its own.
We are proud of what we achieve at Fairfields and our Prospectus is designed to give you an insight into the school, its aims and values.
